ABOUT ME
I’m Dan, founder of Blue Square Drafting. As an architectural designer with over 13 years of experience in the construction industry, I will work with you to produce plans or drawings for your project. Whether that is an extension, conversion or a garden studio, I have versatility to help you and you can see the variety of projects completed in past projects section.
MY BACKGROUND
Since August 2010, I was employed as a Design Technician and later promoted to a manager role, using specialist design software for engineering purposes, producing technical plans for floor joists and roof truss fabrication. It was during this time that I realised my talent for 3D modelling, presentation and how to produce accurate drawings. I spent time working with architects, builders, engineers and the end users of the buildings to be lived in. It was during conversations with these people that I gained knowledge, insight, and collaborative problem solving skills.
MY VISION
My vision is to be a provider of innovative and sustainable design solutions that transform the built environment. I strive to create spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally responsible. My goal is to meet clients’ expectations by delivering high-quality drawings that are accurate, timely, and cost-effective.
HOW I CAN HELP
With my knowledge of construction, I can provide realistically achievable plans, but will always remain customer led in how things are to be designed. I am currently based in Gloucester, where I have been involved in the restoration and preservation of listed and historically significant buildings. Additionally, I have successfully designed plans for new constructions, various types of extensions, renovations and remodels.
